It might have been nice, Garrison thinks, if Downing had apologized, the way the blond girl in that video did, the day before the trial in the DA's office. Ellen Cassin saw Garrison, came right up to him and said she was sorry, nothing more.
That's what I was thinking too. You mean to tell me that the girl (who stopped 2 other Bama guys from teabagging) is the one that apologized but Downing and the 2 other guys (one identified as the Mobile sports anchor's son) have not. The fact that Downing has not apologized to Garrison is disgusting. His excuse is that his world has been turned upside down?? F*ck him. Several months and he couldn't be a man and pick up the phone to say he's sorry? It's obvious the article tries to humanize Downing, but I don't feel sorry for him. Piece of sh*t.

No, you're not the only one. In my drunkest of drunks I've never, ever, thought (nor do I know anyone else who would think) "hey wouldn't it be cool to put my nuts on this guy's face"? And yet as you point out, to three different Bammers this seemed like a great idea at the forefront of their minds. Sick, weird frickers.

Maybe other people had heard, but I didn't hear before that the LSU fan was the nephew of Bubba Alexander.

The images they used in the headline are so cheesy. Garrisons photo where he's staring into space looks like a contemporary christian album cover

Exactly, what a complete piece of shite. He's no better than ole Harvey in my opinion. I would hate to see him waiting my table at Olive Garden, god knows what he would do to your food if you aggravated him.

Agree ... and also feel like the whole incident and aftermath is pretty sad and pathetic. One would think that for Downing ... having to explain that to his wife and parents would be punishment enough.

I thought that was funny too - although maybe a bit too comical for a story they were trying to portray seriously.

In my lifetime the crimson "A" has transformed from a symbol of SEC/BCS dominance to a symbol of a sick fan mindset. We just got back from homecoming and every time we saw someone wearing Alabama sports wear at the airports it creeped us out. As God as my witness it creeps us out.

Yeah, this suit won't sniff an actual trial. Garrison will have to prove damages, i.e., mental pain/suffering, having to drop out of school, therapy (if app), etc.) Monetarily, it won't be much. If I were the Downing/Krystal camp, I'd offer $5k, give or take, and walk. fwiw though, the vast majority of my practice has been business issues and not this stuff.

No, it's a story showing that real lives were affected and the article showed that. I feel much more sorry for Downing's wife and child than I do Stamp. As for Stamp, I don't see how the fact some idiot rubbed his junk on the side of his head somehow discredits his character in any way. He had nothing to do with that part of it. I'd be more embarrassed by the fact I had passed out in a Krystal and it was on film if I was him. Downing's behavior speaks for itself. This is a reminder that nothing good ever happens when you get sloppy drunk.

Not that I would want this to happen to me, but I still think this whole thing was blown way out of proportion. I can't tell you how many times I've seen a group of guys screw with someone passed out, although it's usually to a friend. I've got a picture somewhere of someone "taking a nap" in their chair at an LSU-UK tailgate in Lexington with about 3 asses in their face (not on, but near). I've seen guys get Sharpied, put out in the cold (guy was passed out on a couch), videos/pictures taken, etc. That being said, I can't say I've ever seen anybody pull out the ole twig and berries until these Bama fans.

No,you're not. And even though Alabama fans are their own Comedy Central, forget them for a minute. And what point in your life did pulling your private parts out in public and waving things in someone's face become acceptable ?
