| When are more people going to start accepting Obama is a Marxist? (Posted on 11/15/12 at 9:23 am)
Seriously. What line has to be crossed before his supporters start stating the obvious and openly support Marxism itself. Obama claims to be sympathetic toward Marxism in his own auto-biography. ETA on when the virtues of Marxism are openly debated?

Even if it was open and accepted, it would not be much of a concern because Marxism appeals to the proletariat. The only issue I could foresee is resistance due the stigma attached to the terms, not to the policies.

That's what bugs me, people are avoiding the obvious. It's like they're pissing in ground beef and trying to sell it to us as chocolate pudding.

His 50% doesn't care. All I heard for months was opposition to gays, abortion, and Obamacare[Socialism], but they got 50% plus a little. His voters don't care if he's Marxist and pro-Muslim. He really might be the prelude to the Anti-Christ. America has to decline for the anti-Christ to rise.

So what if Obama is a Marxist? Marxism is a lot more acceptable to the US electrorate these days. In fact, to a large (and growing) portion of the US electorate, Marxism is viewed as superior to small-government Conservatism.

I doubt that a majority of Obama supporters can even spell "Marxism" much less tell you what it is.

You can laugh all you want, but, Truth can be difficult to face. Here are some Marxist principles that are now very thoroughly embraced by the mainstream US electorate: 1) Government is the arbiter of Fairness. Society, especially US Capitalist society, has always been racist and unfair. FedGov's Job One is to fix the racism and unfairness and make us fair by compulsion of law. 2) Redistribution of Wealth is a great tool for FedGov to use to establish Economic Fairness. We need to borrow more and print more money, so that we can have even more Fairness. There are plenty of rich people to take from, and they didn't build that anyway, so, it is Fair for them to pay their Fair Share. Do I need to continue? These are the first two principles of a Marxist persuasion that are well-accepted by a large portion of the US electorate.

Let me reiterate. Because this has worked so well everywhere else Redistribution of wealth is the biggest joke in government. It is the first step to economical disaster

Marx did not invent the idea that the rich exploited the poor, and that the people could use the government to secure justice for themselves.

That's what the Roman nobility said, but of course all their high-minded talk of freedom was really about screwing the veterans and small farmers out of their land. There's a good Chesterton quotation on this: “The poor have sometimes objected to being governed badly; the rich have always objected to being governed at all.” This is the oldest story of politics.
