| Bobby Jindal Blasts Mitt Romney (Posted on 11/15/12 at 9:20 am)

quote:
Asked about Romney’s comments at a meeting of the Republican Governors Association at the Encore Hotel here in Las Vegas, Jindal did not hold back. “That is absolutely wrong,” Jindal said. “Two points on that. One, we have got to stop dividing American voters. We need to go after 100 percent of the votes, not 53 percent — we need to go after every single vote. And second, we need to continue to show that our policies help every voter out there achieve the American dream, which is to be in the middle class, which is to be able to give their children the opportunity to get a great education, which is for their children to have even better-paying jobs than their parents.” “So I absolutely reject that notion, that description,” Jindal continued. I think it’s absolutely wrong. I don’t think that represents where we are as a party and where we’re going as a party. And that has got to be one of the most fundamental takeaways from this election. If we’re going to continue to be a competitive party and win elections on the national stage and continue to fight for our conservative principles, we need two messages to get out loudly and clearly. One, we are fighting for 100 percent of the votes, and secondly, our policies benefit every American who wants to pursue the American dream, period. No exceptions.”

He's made himself look like an asshat. He's one of those guys that thinks we should open up more of the border to have a chance. That's ridiculous, that creates more ammo for socialism!

He's a smart man. And on the same note, I am guessing that the conversation between Obama and Romney will not go as well as hoped when they finally meet up.

Really? Obama said something similar yesterday. I all ways thought the American dream was bigger than just being in the middle class. I thought we as Americans were supposed to aspire higher.

I like this in theory, but isn't this political suicide? It is all about what the party wants.

Well, I think he means to not be living in poverty. Of course everyone wants to be a millionaire, but it isn't realistically achievable.

The original American Dream was the house with the white picket fence. Of course once you get there, you want more (myself included). But we should never forget how many people are still fighting for an opportunity to get to where we are.

Yet, bobby is the one that thought the most qualified person for president and the one to unite all 100% of the country was Rick Perry lol.

I'm sorry but the American dream is not to be in the middle class. What kinda Marxist BS is that?

No everyone can not be a millionaire, but I am starting to see a trend.

Gov. Jindal really is serious about running for President, I see. On another note, I can't believe Romney's chosen to go out like this. I really always admired him. Next.

There are many to do fight for it, but even more are encouraged through entitlements to just be content.

As long as they don't look at his record regarding his handling of the education system in Louisiana

He seems bitter. I feel bad for anyone who loses the presidential race, but once it's lost it's time to just chill and be quiet for a little while.

If everyone was in the middle class, there would be no middle class. If ALL of the "poor" made it to the "middle class", yet there were still rich people in the country, then there would be no middle class. Politics....

It is in Zimbabwe, inflation can create millionaires faster than growth and productivity.
