It doesn't always work that way. If he buys her a car (signs the note) and she bails, he absolutely is stuck w/ the note. We are hijacking anyway.

Better for the members of the OT to hijack this thread than for his soon to be ex-girlfriend hijack his money.

TDI autos can be slow. Depends. The 5 A/T is a POS. The 6 A/t is somewhat better. TDI with M/T is much more responsive and fun to drive, as well as reliable.

Take that with a grain of salt though because I can hang with a Vette until 100
WTF? E/t? Mph? F250 with a Vette? Hang with? Does that mean you can still see his taillights by the time your truck hits 50 mph? Or do you mean a 1977 Corvette with 215 hp? That I could believe. This is the OT. My XR400R can hang with Hyabusas. Ryan Villipoto and James Stewart are engaged in a bidding war to purchase it. I keep turning them down because it is so fast and because I can. Maybe when one of them antes up $100k, I'll consider letting it go. You should see what my '82 F100 can do. Pullin' 4wd F250 powerstrokes and 2500HDs backwards all damn day, with a 2.73 dogleg rear end. You don't want to know what it could do with limited slip.

This is what I currently drive. At 200 HP it isn't a burner by any means, but the gearing makes it very fun to drive. It also gets around 30 mpg, BUT requires premium fuel.
Revving to near 10000 rpm in daily driving is always a blast

Not mine in the pic. May change that later to my actual car...which is also a Challenger. The car in my sig was built by a shop in Kenner as a promotional car, though they recently just pulled the blower in favor of a very large centrifugal supercharger set up. It's a badass car, google "cult energy challenger".

That one sentence alone calls your credibility into serious question. Unless your F250 is capable of running mid to high 12's in the 1/4, then you are lying.
High 12s low 13s. I can't even drive it on the highest setting of the programmerquote:
ETA: And Toyota didn't put a "weak" motor in the FR-S to gauge interest in the market. The FR-S is a very lightweight car that was designed more for it's handling than it's straight line performance. It was built to be an affordable, fun to drive car aimed at a younger market and at the autocross niche.
Never show all of your cards, right? Auto makers aren't as stupid as you think. They have been doing this since the 60squote:
ETA2: OP, I wouldn't take Hammertime's advice very seriously...unless you're looking for mpg's. He's been going on and on about power and which cars are fast, yet he's trying to talk you into the biggest turd in the VW lineup (the tdi). I think the tdi VW's are great cars...mainly if you don't mind sacrificing some performance to gain some mpgs.
I never said it was fast. Don't we get into arguments every single time a car thread comes up? I am pretty sure I have won the vast majority of them
