in the totally random and off topic dept: reading the name of this episode every time the thread pops up reminds me of jay mohr's reservior dogs harvey keitel impression. ok, carry on.

My thoughts: Decent episode. I didn't mind the slower pace after all the craziness of the previous episode. Lori is dead. That zombie ate her remains and Rick is going to get the wedding ring out of the zombie's bloated stomach. Carol is alive and hiding. The phone didn't really ring...Rick is having a breakdown. I don't mind that angle, as long as they don't draw it out too much. The gladiator thing was pretty random. We know that the Governor is a weirdo, but it was odd for the town's residents to go from regular compassionate people banding together to a bloodthirsty mob wanting to see one of their own eaten get bitten by a zombie. Michonne hasn't had much character development yet, but I'm glad they have an arse kicking woman on the show. In general this show doesn't do well with characters, especially people who aren't white males.

Did TDog set a record for black guy survival in the horror genre?

and i actually think hes going fishing for the wedding ring like when they were looking for sophia remains in season 2.
I think he stabbed the zombie's bloated belly to make sure Lori was dead in there.

Ramdom thought: I am a week late on this, but I wonder if T-Dog's death means that when/if Merle meets back up with the main group things will not be quite as tense? Of course it was still Rick that handcuffed Merle to the roof so Merle will still have some issues about that situation...

lolwut? Pretty sure if you get eaten you're gonna be dead. I'd say he stabbed the stomach out of anger. I don't think he was looking for a wedding ring because he stopped and was just sitting there when the phone rang.

nah, things will still be tense as frick I presume. Merle will still not like Rick and most likely the Governor will be with him to try and start something.

I saw Rick stabbing the zombie's belly as almost a cathartic act. If Lori hadn't gotten pregnant she'd likely still be alive. He seemed like he was stabbing the belly out of frustration at how the situation had played out.

Which woman in the group would have been considered Loris best friend? Rick should immediately start fricking her since it seems like Loris dead

That's exactly how I saw it. Like he was just taking out his frustrations on it...like a "punching a wall when you get mad" kinda thing.

i viewed it as he was thinking about cutting open the belly just to confirm lori was in there or to get the ring out, but couldn't pull himself to do it and stabbed out of anger/frustration

In the previews of this weeks episode, didn't it show Michone and Merle fighting? Does Michone kill Merle?

It looked to me like Maggie and Merle run into each other which means Darryl is around too. I hope this happens soon. I think Michonne will become a bigger character now that she is in her element again. I pray that Andrea gets killed though.

I just hope Michonne doesn't run into Rick's group and immediately become a team player. Would make no sense with her trust issues.

I didn't view it as "trust" issues, moreso that she just got a really bad vibe from hanging out in this society where everyone acts like nothing bad has taken place/completely ambivalent to the outside world. She was also very pissed they took her sword I imagine as long as Rick is down with her keeping the sword she will be fine.
