Oh yea a good gun belt makes a huge difference as far as sagging and constantly adjusting.
This is important. As is a good holster, and a choice in clothing that facilitates concealed carry. Very few, if any, "gun schools" will recommend the mouseguns as a primary weapon. Plenty of the "big name," highly respected instructors carry Kahrs and sub-nosed revolver -- but invariably these are their BUGS (Back-Up Guns). I carry a G19 all day, every day. Lots of the real gurus carry even bigger guns, and it isn't hard to do if you have (a) a good holster, (b) a good gun belt and (c) make some accommodations in your style of dress. Holsters: A good holster doesn't have to be expensive. The good kydex ones (such as Comp-Tac) cost ~$50. A good leather one could (but doesn't have to) cost up to a few hundred bucks. A good holster will, first of all, cover the trigger. Period. It should also be made//molded for a specific gun. Beware of the label that says: "Fits the following guns," and then lists them. This is OK for a pocket holster (such as the Desantis Nemesis)in which to tote your BUG -- but not for your primary piece. A good holster is sturdy, will reliably retain the gun, and will hold it close//snugly against your body to minimize "printing" (allowing the outline of the gun to show under your cover garment). The two basic choices in holster styles (assuming you wisely avoid the "small of the back, appendix, style, etc. will be "Outside-the-waistband" (OWB) and inside-the-waistband (IWB). Experiment, after considering your body shape, gun type, etc. The OWB will usually be more comfortable, and quicker to access. The IWB will generally conceal better. Belts: A good belt will be sturdy//stiff to avoid having the gun "flop//wobble" away fom your waist. (I say waist, because 95% of CCW weapons are carried on the strong side hip). Flopping around makes the gun print. A good gun belt can be leather (like those sold by "The Beltman," or nylon (like the Wilderness "Instructor" belts). You are not likely to find a decent gun belt at Academy or Wal-Mart. Go online and look for a real belt. Clothing. Clothing doesn't have to be special. Down here in south Louisiana, in the fall and winter, it's simple -- just get a light jacket, a heavy jacket, a sweater,a vest, whatever and wear it over your handgun. In the summer, it's still simple -- if you have a good holster and a good belt. Just (a) wear a shirt that is slightly//reasonably loose and (b) one that is preferably dark or patterned. A really snug white T-shirt may be great for showing off your abs, but is counter-productive as a CCW garment ('cause the gun is gonna print throgh it). I can wear an Under-Armour polo shirt (in a dark blue, red, black, etc.) and you won't see my G19 printing -- even while carried in an OWB holster. I'm sure I have omitted some stuff -- but this is a primer prompted by a few on the other posts. Keep in mind that "concealed" means "concealed." But understand that 99.78% (OK, I made up that %) are not paying any attention, and will never notice your gun, even if it does print through a little bit. The real "message" is -- You don't have to settle for a mousegun in order to carry concealed. If the day were to come when you end up needing a gun, you're really gonna need it. And you won't be allowed to call "time out" and run home to get your "real" gun.

Highly respectable information from this man right here! If your clothing style only allows you to pocket carry, say for summer days and such, a .380 is fine since it's better to have no gun at all. But if you're able to dress heavier in the colder days, you can accommodate a larger gun comfortably in the right holster.

No offense, but you seem to have missed my point --- it's not difficult to conceal a "real" gun in the summer, given a little effort. And yes, a .380 is better than nothing at all -- but so is a pellet gun or a slingshot. Too many folks use the "better than nothing" excuse. You just don't find professionals (the top tier trainers) carrying a mousegun as their primary weapon -- and those guys are 300% better than 99& of us. So if they don't trust a poodleshooter, even with all their skills, why should we ?

Haha woops. I'm referring more to the convenience factor. I admit I feel better protected carrying a 9mm than a .380 but I would still feel safe with a .380 and it would be more comfortable in my pocket without question.

If you want a semi automatic with a revolver trigger pull (i.e. long with a long reset) then get a Kahr. They have buttery smooth triggers but the pull is quite long. It's a perfect CC gun.
