If this were 1995 you would be correct. The State of Nebraska and the 7 states surrounding it might put out 5-10 guys per year that are worthy of playing for a top 10 school. Pelini has to convince virtually every recruit he has that not only should they choose Nebraska over USC, Oregon, Texas, etc, but that they also should go to college 1,500 miles away from Mama. Nebraska will never be great again.

Because Nebraska boosters expect multiple national titles from a program that lacks the capacity to win them. 8-4 or 9-3 year after year will not cut it at Nebraska and that is right around that program's ceiling. I would leave Nebraska in a heartbeat for the Auburn job if offered the right contract.

33/40 is missing a drug policy. Not to be rude to Auburn but Nebraska is a bigger football name than Auburn - more all-time wins and MNC's.
Perhaps the author should have stuck with the Pelini wants to get in the SEC to compete at a higher level angle.
