| Albert's Hot Sauce (Posted on 11/14/12 at 11:48 am)
Know anywhere in Baton Rouge that carries this stuff? It was my favorite store bought salsa to buy when I lived in North LA but I can't find it anywhere down here.

There is a homemade brand the name of which I don't remember, but it is sold at the Farmers Market on Saturday, you might want to give it a shot. It is supposed to be pretty damned good.

Malco's Magnificent Salsa is what you're probably thinking of. It is really good but I miss Albert's.

Albertson's in BR used to carry it, but I haven't seen it in a while (but I'll admit I haven't looked). Check the fresh veggie section at Albersons - may be there. Used to be my favorite when I lived in Sport

It's in the refrigerated section at Albertsons by the Clausen Pickles. And last I bought is glass jar. Made in Kilgore, TX.

I've tried Albert's but it has too much vinegar. I prefer this: A stronger tomato taste and less vinegar.

When I first moved here the Albertson's on Highland & Airline carried it but the last few times I've stopped in there they didn't appear to carry it anymore.

Never seen it in tubs, but when I was a kid growing up in Shreveport my mother always had a jar of it in the house. Delicious salsa.
