I've been towed twice by Riverside from apartments around LSU. It ended up being around $250 both times and both times I had no idea I was parked illegally. The fees are ridiculous and should be lowered.

quote: The night of Spanish Town Ball I was at BWW northgate with some friends. Got drunk and wanted to go downtown about 11pm. I figured I was drinking and eating at BWW the entire time surely they wouldn't mind my leaving a car overnight, right? Wrong.
Could you imagine if they did this in Tigerland?
I think the article does a good job of mentioning that while people are pissed about getting towed, the bigger problem is the parking and transportation situation.
There is a lack of convenient public transportation to nightlife, and parking is a premium.
It doesn't help when you have a company that exploits the system by charging max fees to predominately college students.

My biggest issue with them is places like lake beau pre where there are always a shite load of parking places but only like 5 visitor parking places. Once those fill up, where are people supposed to park?
