How long is the drive from BR to Shreveport? I've always wondered.

I live in Houston right now, I like it... probably because I live in the loop and don't have to fight traffic at all.

Meh. It's the "old money" mindset that has contributed to retarding Shreveport's development over the last few decades.

As someone who was born and raised in Shreveport, I say Houston.

If you're just looking for a nice middle class neighborhood, Broadmoor, South Highlands, and Shreve Island are good starting points. I'm a Shreveport man, through and through, so I'd live at McMurdo Station before Bossier.

South Highlands is probably your best bet. Younger residents the further north you go on Line Avenue towards downtown. Lots of little gated neighborhoods on the south side of town, if that's your thing. A developer from Dallas just renovated an old warehouse downtown into a bunch of apartment loft deals, if that's your thing.

Bossier City sucks - flat, nondescript and full of trailer trash. North Bossier is ok, but I'd live in South Shreveport before I would ever live in Bossier City.
