Thinking about buying an AR-15 or M4A1. Anyone got some good tips on where are some good places to start looking, prices, etc. Don't know much about them just starting to get into it. Thanks

I hope he has seen the error in his ways regarding what he calls certain calibers/makes of rifles.

Buds is hard to beat on price if you don't mind the slight hassle of ordering from the Internet and such. Some folks like the instant gratification of buying it in person though

I think Bud may have pissed off one of the gun stores where I live in NC. They have a sign at the counter that says "All FFL transfers $25, Except Buds, it's $50 for them."

Sounds like Jim's here in BR. They used to charge that for Internet transfers on guns that they had in stock. Don't know if they still do or not.

If you're in Baton Rouge, use LA Gun and Reloading off Old Jefferson. $20 transfers and friendly service.

Hate to say it, especially twice in one day, but X2 what bapple said.
Louisiana Gun and Reloading Supply for the transfer. They make it painless and easy. I would gladly pay more for their customer service.
As should be bought online. Better deals, tax free, usually free shipping, and you get exactly what you want. It is literally see one and see them all, unlike pistols.

Pelican Pawn Shop in Gonzales will do them for $20 as well if you are out in that area.
