What areas should one consider when moving to Shreveport?

I'm considering a transfer to the Shreveport area. What are some of the better areas for schools, quality of life, etc.?

Is there a garden district style neighborhood for young professionals?

That may be a given. Are there any nice developments outside of the city that offer a "country" feel, but with the conveniences of suburbs?

Here comes the Bossier vs. Shreveport battle.

My two cents,...you couldn't pay me to live in Shreveport. Well maybe south Shreveport.

The suckiness of this area is vastly exaggerated.

Considering I live in Houston now, I'd take anything over this place.

Close to the Brookshires on Kings. Good selection of pork parts, cold beer and the on-duty cop even looks like George Zimmerman.
