| Boat Owners: Best products to use to clean inside of bayboat (Posted on 11/13/12 at 11:54 am)
Have a bayboat that has been uncovered for a few months and is due for a major detailing job. Non-skid and rest of inside is just filthy. What cleaners do you guys use along with pressure washer?

Spray mine with Simple Green let it soak and pressure wash. Works like a charm. If u have a lit of build up use a deck brush.

Starbrite deck cleaner works magic. Get a stiff bristle brush from lowes brush it on let is sit for 5-10 minutes then scrub it to get tough spots out.

I've heard that and I've gotten shite on here about it before. When I fish, I scrub the deck throughout the day, so a pressure washer and some soap usually does the trick. I just use the erasers on small stains that didn't come up. The OP said his boat was filthy, and a quick scrub with magic erasers should do the trick

Been using them a couple year now for spot-cleaning inside for things like fish blood, etc. and been thrilled with results, no issues so far

Since its been sitting out, start with this: Then do this: Then do this on the spots that are left: Then do this when you are done: Then make this part of your normal cleaning:

This shite will take the spots off a Giraffe. Don't let it sit in the concentrated form on the surface for over 45 seconds though. I usually hit the front and start scrubbing with water. Move to the back and repeat. This shite puts any other purple stuff,Simple Green, and STARBRITE to shame!

+1. All of our neighbors down on big lake have been doing this for years, and I've never heard of any problems.

Thanks guys. My boat is just a lot dirtier than normal. Normally it is covered and under my boat port. Had to order a new cover thanks to hurricane and it turned out to be b/o so I kept putting off washing it blah blah blah. Anyway I have the woody wax ultra pine stuff and used two bottles of the starbrite deck scrub w/PTFE and just not as clean as it can be. Guess will go with some super concentrated cleaners like super clean and some magic erasers then wax the hell out of it with woody wax. It is a really nice boat so just want it looking good and clean on the inside again.

I find that it's not great for true cleaning of a dirty boat. Use something else for tough cleaning, then finish with it.

Alright man, this is last resort stuff right here, but it will make any white fiberglass boat look like new. I do it on mine once a year. Buy a couple bottles of SNO BOL toilet boil cleaner. Squirt it on your boat in a small area and immediately start spreading it out evenly all over the boat with a soft deck brush. It is VERY important that you spread it out evenly EVERYWHERE. This works so damn good, that if you miss a spot or two, it will stand out like a sore thumb and you will have to redo those areas. Wear boots and gloves when you do this. Let it sit for about 5 minutes then hose it off. It will make your boat look like it's showroom new; HOWEVER THIS IS THE MOST IMPORTANT PART: It will remove 100% of all of your wax wherever you put it. So, if you go this route, wax with woody wax at a minimum and a paste wax preferably.

Im not sure what any of these products do to the seals on hatches etc. over time but here and there I guess its safe. The Green works great for me too.

Maybe not boat, but it's an excellent hand cleaner if you get them all greazy. Of course, you then have a seafoam issue
