Bought this from Wal-Mart a few short weeks ago. Can I return it today and get a new one without a receipt? I'm about to swing by and pick up BLOPS2.

you don't have a reciept. how are they to know you didn't buy it from somewhere else?
just go rent it and swap the scratched up disc for the new one. problem solved. burn it to your HD next time.

Wal Mart is pretty lenient with this stuff. Little more strict on stuff like CD's, games, and movies. But if you are just wanting to exchange it for another one, it's worth a shot. Could get lucky.

More than likely walmart will let you return it but will tell you to get the same game.

Well then go for it. A lot of big retail places have that policy because of copyright laws, and they're supposed to cut the seal on the new copy before you leave.

Just tell them that you got the game recently, it just stopped working,your kid lost the receipt, but you just want to get another copy. Would work at our Wal Mart.
