Isn't there international Law about this? But should Government backed assassinations get International Support? If North Korea tried to assassinate the leader of South Korea and failed....no big deal?

is that what we want? 196 kill teams(each country) sent to kill leaders all over the world, at any given time, and when they fail to kill the leader....nothing.

Israel is allowed to do whatever it wants, and a large segment of the American public will support the subsidization their terrorism. Questioning their activities is tantamount to anti-semitism in their eyes.
As a general rule we shouldn't participate in assassinations. There are ALWAYS exceptions though.

If a country tried assassinate me....

We tried to kill Ghaddafi with a missile. He wasn't home but we killed his son.

Prior to the Church committee hearings in the early/mid seventies the CIA had a long track record of whackihng "undesirables" around the world. Africa was popular due to natural resources to be had from the continent.
