So I go hunting saturday and sunday. Both days I kill 3 woodducks and a teal. I kill 8 ducks in two trips ( this is my usualy bag) I have 8 points. You go saturday and kill 2 specks and get 10 points? How is that fair?

I say we just make specks and mallards worth the same and be done with it. Hopefully I'll be killing limits of both in the same hunt

 i should have never made that joke. Oh well. I don't care what the rules are. I love to hunt geese, but suck at it, and won't win anyway

Seriously though, if the majority is in favor of a points change, that's fine with me.
But someone please tell me if they know of any other contest or sport in the world where rules are changed in the middle of the game? Everyone agreed to these points when they sent their money in. Again, who is gonna get butt hurt when i shoot 57 snow geese during conservation season & claim 57 points for it?
If we do this again next year, every legal bird should count as 1 point in order to avoid this pissing contest from happening again...

Mallards are the most populous bird, why should they be equal to a spec? I say pintails, cans, mottleds should be 3, if any bird values are changed. They are rare and endangered, I can whack 4 green heads at LSU lakes with a 9 iron and a loaf of Bunny Bread.
I did originally vote for it when I thought I'd be hunting my places out west more. I was probably drunk when I agreed because I didn't think it thru. 2 geese should not be worth more than 6 woodies, teal, etc. I'll deal with it either way but think 3 if we are voting.

If you want to go set out 800 rag dekes and spend all night setting up to shoot 20-30 filthy geese, then spend all day cleaning those things then I have no problem giving you the points.
But at the end of the day.
They are only worth 1 pt a piece.

I say get rid of the creeping rule also. You are deterring us from doing what's best for the greater good of the waterfowl population.
