Used vehicles are almost as much as many new cars.... Just buy new and get the new car warranty then trade it in within 3 years..... Leasing is way to go Oh buying used it diminishes in value once you drive it off the lot because then it is considered a two owner car.... So either way you lose value

If you take care of a vehicle, it will easily last that long. But in fairness, we don't drive the wheels off of ours. At 15 years, ours will have no more than 200K miles.

i like the process of going to the dealership and checking out the cars, and going to pick one up all new and shined up and ready to go.

We purchase new so you can have a fine, quality used vehicle to purchase in the future. And instead of buying 3-5 used cars, I only buy one new car. Don't be a hater. Thank a new car buyer today!

It used to be used or dummy, but prices between new and used are too close nowadays. I'll pay a couple grand more to be the first owner over playing used car roulette any day.

I probably won't buy new again unless there is a sale on new Accords later. My company gets a steep discount on new GMs, Fords, and Nissans. Since I hate UAW, I'll probably get a Nissan next time. BTW....Carmax seems to have terrible deals most of the time. No way I'd buy a used car for $500 less than a new one.

B/c I dont buy cars as an investment. Also, I buy them through our company and book the depreciation expense which helps come tax time.

When's the last time you compared prices on new and slightly used vehicles? I think you would be surprised

Ok we're on the same page, I would buy used if I planned on getting a new car every 4 years or so.

The new car smell is worth it to me. Seriously though, I like new because I am 100% certain what has been done to the vehicle and how it has been maintained. Sure they claim Car Fax does that but there are things done to vehicles not caught by car fax. Plus we have a tendency to keep them around a long, long time so by the time I go get a new one the accelerated depreciation does not matter.

the key is just to try not get completely raped at the dealership. also if you are so worried about saving a buck, try to buy one a year older thats new and still on the lot.

Thing is every situation is unique so when someone says "always buy used/new" they're usually wrong half the time. Certain vehicles depreciate faster Rebates vary Interest rates(not really a factor now cause it's so damn low) life expectancy of vehicle

Buy at model year close, get giant discount. I just bought a $42k truck for $29k. I could trade it in for more than that right now. So zero negative equity already, plus a full warranty, as well as knowing that no one has ever abused it and it will be maintained properly. This is also cheaper than I could have bought a 2 year old version for.
