They depreciate so quickly. Even if you have all the money in the world like every OT baller, I don't understand the logic behind it. As soon as you drive off the lot it's worth less. Discuss if you will.

The vehicle I was purchasing wasn't much cheaper used than new. Plus, I got a 100K warranty with the new vehicle.

Better rebates
0% interest
Better warranty
I looked at used trucks with very low mileage and it wasn't worth buying used.

I was on the side of never buying new until I started looking for another vehicle this pass year.
Diesels have a great resale value, so I really don't feel bad about it.

The value of the car is in the miles you get out of it. If you buy new and keep the car for a good bit then its a good idea. If you only keep your car a few years its retarded.

2 things I hate. Purchasing something from someone else used as you have no idea how other people take care of their own items. Buying new alleviates that.
Not having a warranty, buyint new alleviates that.

The one car I bought used, 5 series BMW, I got fricked on. Nothing went right with that car.. The happiest day was when I traded it for a truck.

Well said, exactly my idea with my new car purchase.
Reason I purchased a diesel, great MPG and should last 15yrs as a work car.

I buy new, but I keep it 15 years. If I were turning over cars every 5 years, I would not buy new.
