Well, if that's actually what Romney did
it's not. he avoided social issues for the most part
that focused on strong family structure
that's a touchy issue. you have to realize if he goes and touches on issues like that, he's opening himself up for being called a person who criticized blacks for not having strong family structures, showing that he's a white many out of touch with blacks today
that's kind of the catch-22 non-DEMs find themselves in with minorities. perceived differences by race can swing both ways. it's a good message, and one they need to hear, but if the wrong person sends that message they're walking a fine line.
this is actually one area that i'm completely disgusted in obama. if there is one motherfricker on this planet who could get up on a soap box and preach to the black communities in shambles, it's him. he's avoided it though. that's for another discussion
and specifics in terms of economic advantages for their congregants inherent in GOP policies.
i think he did a lot of this. now you don't have to believe in his policies, but he preached how his plan would grow our economy to create more jobs (whether it would work or not is a different story). more jobs solve a lot of social and economic ills
