OK, that's great and all. I guess I just would have thought they'd have been BIGGER than that. Their music seems like it would have propelled them more into the mainstream than it has (BTW, I'm glad it hasn't).

I understand what you're talking about Honestly, I would think they'd be at muse status by now with arena sellouts Maybe that time will come

Muse went to complete and total shite at least 2 albums ago, and the British are still buying into this shite.

I always throw out The Kaiser Chiefs. Pretty huge in England, especially on the festival circuit. But not much in the U.S.

Apples in Stereo. Neutral Milk Hotel gets all of the hype out of the Elephant 6 Collective, but the Apples actually had a career. Maybe they should've been recluses as well. Mudhoney. Still the greatest band out of Seattle, and the foundational band of grunge. And still actually putting out good albums. Kurtis Blow. First rap artist on a major label, and he's virtually forgotten today. Alkaline Trio. Probably the most consistent punk band of the last decade, but they don't get the cool points that post-punk does. Archers of Loaf. Along with Pavement, probably the most important indie bands post-Nirvana. It was the conscious retreat back to the underground. Pavement got to play Central Park last year, the Archers? Not so much. Sleater-Kinney. Best band of the aughts. Not best girl band, best band.

I think Goddamnit is the best straight punk album of the past 20 years.
