Saying PES is competition to FIFA is like saying Blackberry is competition for Apple or Google. Maybe at one time it was, but that time is long home.
ETA In other words, PES is only technically competition.

If they're doing server maintenance its all the time and for 2-3 minutes at a time. And no, its not my internet connection (although that's an entirely different story as you can ask Beast, Bho, DB and Bob).
That's not the only problem though. The passing system is abysmal. They overdid the first touch. The computer/players can push you off the ball and no foul. The offensive runs are completely retarded (you win possession and EVERYONE runs as fast as they can toward the box and sits there. no one comes back to the ball to offer an outlet). You can be in perfect position for a header and, despite pressing B, your player stands there as the opponent heads into goal free and clear. 99% of computer goals are scored in the 45th and 90th minute.
The game is complete, utter, total, and absolute fricking horse shite. I hate it.

This is my biggest problem with the game. I hate the runs my teammates make. There are not nearly enough vertical runs for through or overhead runs.
I also played my first invisible ball game today and won 1-0. 
Overall, the game is still fun as shite.

Only thing I've run into but it has happened quite a bit lately. Seems to only happen when I have a presser though. I thought maybe I was pressing X too much so I started letting the game sim straight through to my match and skip the press meeting. It eventually happened again though. I usually turn off autosave just because some games seem to take FOREVER to save and it kicks in too often. Fortunately I kept it on in this one though.

The biggest bull shite the computer pulled on me was a blatant hip check to my keeper while he was punting the ball. As we all know the game will not let you get infront of their keeper when they are punting. This happened in career mode, he straight up came from behind and hit my keeper mid kick. Keeper ends up wiffing on the ball their striker steals it and scores the game winner.
