I agree. Was upgrading to 101 club a couple games ago- It was nice, especially having access to the better food. However for watching the game, I'd rather my own seats.
the club seats are incredible, but are so expensive that only the doctors, lawyers, and businesses are going to be able to afford them on a season ticket level. I'm 3rd row behind the goals and at times the view can get annoying, but overall I love my seats because I am so close to not only the Hornets, but right in front of the Honeybees as well

The first thing that came to mind when you said 3 rows behind the goals was the Honeybees

Honestly dude, you're trash. Any doctor/lawyer/hot shot big wig corporate fat cat can afford whatever seats he wants. He also won't give a RAT'S arse if a couple college kids want to have a good time and sit in some unclaimed seats at the end of the 1st. If you want to throw, let's fricking throw. Until then, SHUT the frick up. Any questions???

Okay, you kids. Pipe the frick down. Don't make me come in there, goddamit. I will say the first few rows of the upper bowl are definitely decent seats. I do know a very wealthy physician and his wife who purchase season tickets on the first row of the upper bowl and really enjoy them. On the other hand, I just prefer being lower. As far as watching the game is concerned, "non-club" lower bowl tickets in, say Section 110, are a much, much better buy than the Club seats literally only five or six feet away. The cost differential is amazing. In fact, I bought in for less Club seats this year and really haven't missed the "Club experience" that much. I only use the Club seats when I bring one of my girlfriends to the game. (Note to wife: that's a joke)

Here is the problem. If you let people pay $10 for $80 seats, why would ANYONE buy $80 seats. If I spent my limited disposable income on good seats but am surrounded by folks who paid substantially less for the same thing, why wouldn't I join the masses and do the same? In the end the better seat location has zero added value and nobody wants to, or has to, pay full price. And you can spin it as good for the organization, but it's not your organization. You don't make the rules. They do. If you weasel your way into seats you didn't buy it's stealing. It's like sitting in an empty first class seat on an airplane. Try that and let me know how it works for you. And if you can only afford crappy seats, it's your own fault. Go make yourself more valuable to society instead of scheming to get more than you can afford. Go Bees!

I am not sure it has been brought up over the course of the thread but.... One thing I would say is that the lower bowl is all that can be seen on TV. Therefore, if there are a ton of people (hypothetically) in the cheap seats and half of the lower bowl folks don't show...the arena looks half empty on TV. I have always said the Hornets should integrate the in-game upgrade process as a part of the in-game entertainment. Have a random seat upgrade for a few folks in the uppers and let them sit down on the lower bowl and experience a game from there. Looks better on TV, fans are happy, and you know those cheap seat folks just might upgrade to better seats next time around after having the chance to sit there. I agree, though, that you cannot just let any old ticket holder buy a $10 ticket and then stroll on down to the sideline lower bowl section. Sets a bad precedent, and then why would anyone pay the premium price? You just can't do it that way, as nice as it sounds....

Counterpoint: If people see empty seats on their TV, then they may think, "Oh, it's easy to go to games," and go. If they see no empty seats on their TV, then they may think, "Oh, it's hard to go to games," and not go.
