If my friends and I want to go to a game and save money, can we just get upper level on stubhub for cheap and head down to the lower level pretty easily? Haven't been to the arena in a couple years and don't remember how it's laid out.

The few times I have heard, people with upper level tickets can't get into the lower level b/c they check. However, if I you want get cheap uppers and move to the front of the uppers, thats definitely possible

I've never sat upper but even for lower they check your tickets everytime you walk into a section. Even when I have a fricking beer and BBQ combination Nachos in my hand, frick you Julie.

It's damn near impossible to get in the lower bowl with upper bowl tickets. They have a ticket checker at every entrance to the sections in the lower bowl, and they are hard to get by.
Your best bet is to buy the cheapest available upper bowl tickets off StubHub (usually $2 or so) and move down to empty seats on Row one of the upper bowl after the first quarter.
If you really want to sit in the lower bowl, buy tickets in the lower bowl behind the basket (usually $20 or so) off StubHub and move over and sit atop the club sections near mid court where there are almost always empty seats. I did this Wednesday night with no problem.
Last night, I sat on Row one of the upper.

Have two beers in your hand and just walk into the lower bowl like you belong. If they question you, say, "You don't remember me, (whatever usher's name is)? I just walked through a minute ago." Having your hands full sometimes means they won't make you dig for your ticket.
Or
Wait for a big crowd to walk in and just sneak by while the usher checks tickets.
You gotta have "NO FEAR" because the ushers sniff that shite out if you don't belong

in all seriousness, it's very hard to do. if you have a friend or someone you know down there, have them print out an extra ticket for you to have. if not, just move to better seats up top.

Who the frick cares, it's an empty seat. If a fan would ever talk shite to me for quietly enjoying a game in seats they knew I didn't have a ticket for, then they're insecure a-holes.
