I'm back! Free at last! I don't have time to make a list today. But will do a write-up or two. As long as I don't have to do the Godfather films. People wold not like my write-ups of those.

except for Grease
Like I mentioned, it was a movie I watched a lot as a kid. I didn't do it in the 00's and I was mad at myself because I took the list too serious, but these past few I wanted to take a childhood and comedy aspect in. Sure The Muppet Movie, Willie Wonka, and Grease aren't going in the record books as some of the greatest movies ever, but I freaking LOVED them at some point in my life. So I took that into affect. I can watch Taxi Driver and The Muppet Movie right now and enjoy them both the same. Back to Grease. I was in two Grease plays in high school as well. I played the coach in the full length play and hosted it (it was the only real play our school ever did) and played SANDY in the comedy one. That was actually really fun. Sooooo...yeah. This is awkward. Each time I had a girl I liked to go out with after they were over so it didn't hurt my game. Anyway the cool story bro point is that there were a few reasons why it made my list.

Keeping up with my "I really need to see a lot of movies from the 70s" theme, I have never seen Grease. I loathe musicals though. People spontaneously breaking out in song really bothers me. Unless it's animated. I can handle it animated.

Not a fan of musicals myself, but Grease and Singing in the Rain are the exceptions.

Another thing with Grease is that the songs are so popular I have probably heard all of them and dont really feel the need to watch the movie to hear them. Who knows. Maybe one day I will get around to it

So don't see it for the songs. The movie is filled with great, memorable lines. Also, never forget: Nobody's jugs are bigger than Annette's.

I'm with you, iwy. Woody Allen is the most overrated director in the history of American cinema.

I like Woody Allen and can't even disagree with that The 70's was his best decade, but it seems maybe he doesn't translate as well to later generations. I guess you can call that not aging well? and iwy, don't me mad bro, I was just henrying you.

Here goes my list. Starters: the Godfathers are not on my list. It's personal preference, and honestly, I did not care for the Godfather. So, here we go: 20-the French Connection - (Possibly Hackman's best movie) 19-Network - "I'm mad as hell, and I'm not going to take it anymore!" 18- The Getaway - McQueen. Steve Mcqueen. That is all. 17- Dawn of the Dead - The greatest zombie flick of all time. 16- Dirty Harry - Clint Eastwood redifined not only himself, but the action hero. 15- The Texas Chainsaw Massacre - Truly revolutionary. So real, it seems like a snuff film. 14- Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory - Gene Wilder's quintessential performance. Depp couldn't come close. 13- Le Cercle Rouge - melville greatest work. Not my favorite, but his best. Gritty, and powerful. 12- The Friends of Eddie Coyle - If you haven't seen this movie, see it. Now. robert Mitchum at his absolute best. 11- The Outlaw Josey Wales - "Dying ain't much of a living boy." 10- Pat Garrett and Billy the Kid - Sam Peckinpah. Nuff said. 9- Straw Dogs - two in a row. Every man has his breaking point. 8- Kelly's Heroes - the best WW2 movie. Sorry Private Ryan, but Kelly's heroes are better than yours. 7-Halloween - Genre defining. Set the standard for the next decade. 6- Blazing Saddles - One of the best comedies of the 70's. Only one tops it. 5- Rocky - Stallone managed to do something very few have done. He made a romance that appeals to men. 4- The Spy Who Loved Me - THE James Bond movie to end all Bond movies. this is it. this is what a Bond movie strives to be. It's what we think of , when we think Bond. Beautiful women, exotic locals, awesome gadgets, a meglomaniacal villain, and a henchman who is menacing beyond belief. 3-Young Frankenstein - The best comedy of the 70's. Brooks' best film. The cast is great, the lines hilarious. 2-Star Wars - The movie that changed everything. Nobody remembers where they were and what they were doing when they saw the Godfather, but everyone remembers every detail of the night they first saw Star Wars, down to what candy they bought at the theater. 1- Jaws - My favorite movie of all time. No other movie has managed to stay with people the way Jaws has. You could be in a pool, and you will swim to the shallow if someone hums "DUH-DUM. DUH-DUM." The first summer blockbuster. The movie that scared people off the beaches. The iconic song that still sends shivers up our spines. The performance by Robert Shaw that dwarfs Brando's Vito Corleone. This is the best movie of the 70's.

You need to change that from "we" to "I" It's a fun movie and it's been a while since I've seen it but definitely not the quintessential Bond movie. Goldfinger if I can only pick one. Cliche maybe but it's tops for me. Love me some Oddjob. Freaux: You have me down as a writer right? I can do more than one if need be.
