I've only ever owned shotguns. I want to buy a handgun, mostly for home/truck defense. Give me some recommendations, OB.
ETA: I have a feeling the first response wil be "Judge".

I recommend going to your friendly neighborhood gun range and trying out the guns you are interested in, if they have them.
For home/truck defense, you'll probably want a reliable full sized handgun. Springfield, Glock, S&W, etc. all make very reliable guns, for an affordable price. Try to narrow it down to a few you like, put them in your hand and see how they feel. Shoot them if you can.

My truck gun is the SW Sigma 40.No frills and reasonably priced.

Ruger GP100 or SP 101 357 if you like revolvers.
I like my FN FNP 40. Springfield Armory is making nice ones now too.

Full size double action .357 magnum revolver is the most reliable thing you can buy. Also packs significantly more ass.

Are you only keeping it in your truck or are you using it for both?
If both: Glock
If truck only: something cheap. Taurus maybe.
