| Gilmore next Federer? (Posted on 11/8/12 at 7:49 pm)
Was checking out 247 a little while ago and came across this about Gilmore Prospect Note- Gilmore is serous about improving his footwork. To do so, he's playing for his school's tennis team. At practice Tuesday, Gilmore's coach told 247Sports that the 273-pound Gilmore actually is a pretty solid player. I like the kids attitude and wanting to improve!

Good find - playing tennis can only help him. Plus, it's a great game

I was thinking the same thing. The racket may look like a ping pong paddle in his hands lol.

Man this kid is great. Watched the ESPNU announcement and he just seems like such a nice kid. Genuinely excited about the whole process and really made a tough decision after thinking it through. So happy he fell in love with LSU and mom let him come

Everything about this guy screams he will be successful. To improve his footwark, he is doing tennis There have been several tweets of him going do workouts alone When asked if LaCouture's committment would affect his decision, he says no. He wants to compete for playing time. Said today on TV, he might die trying to get playing time, but he just wants a chance and he will work for it. I think we got a good one.

In an interview he clearly mentions that early playing time is not a deal breaker and that he might even be red shirted. He wants to go to a place where if proves his worth, he would be able to play even if a freshman - and that place is LSU!
