Heard the talks were excellent over the weekend, and moved forward even more yesterday going into another immediate meeting today so you may be right.

Hog, I think the whole pr wars is over with "leaked" news. Now they are finally actually having serious discussions. There is a good possibility a deal gets done by this Friday or next Friday.

I think y'all are being too optimistic, Bettman is intent on driving this bus off a cliff. Once ok, twice maybe there is something wrong, but three times????-after you got a hard salary cap, you've just signed a lucrative new TV deal and you've increased the profitability of the League by moving a team from a non-functioning market to a high functioning one? Idiot owners are following Custer

Don't blame Bettman for this. He got them great deals. The owners were stupid, Signing 10-15 year contracts, seriously? The players also went and got Fehr, who is a man who is a sadist in negotiations.

Aside from events, downtown is the last place I go on just about any night in Nashville. The Preds bring a ton of money to local business, and hockey is my 2nd favorite sport so I'm hoping for a deal soon.
