Well, so did Ezio. If you recall, Da Vinci improved the hidden blades so they didn't require the missing finger.

Should I be walking around aimlessly finding side missions or do they come later in the game and are marked?

Yeah but he didn't share that. Remember when a recruit reached assassins rank they had a ceremony where the guys finger was removed.

Right. I'll just assume Da Vinci's plans were found again during the Enlightenment or something. Finished the game... another cliffhanger. I think this one more than any other in the series just punts to the next game. The way they did the Charles Lee assassination was fantastic.

Oh yeah Charles knew what was coming. I wonder where they take the series from here though? They can't really keep up the tone of the series after what happened. We've already seen what happens when modern weapons are avaliable (me capping everyone that moved in the abstergo area).

You talking about in Brotherhood? I don't remember any chopping of fingers. They did brand the hands though. At least that's what it looked like they were doing to me.

Either way it seems the Templars have a leg up in the whole being discreet thing. They wear a ring or necklace and generally blend in with society. The assassins? They brand themselves, wear distinctive robes, and cut off their fingers

The strange thing is that despite the Templars being more overt, I.E rushing in with a sword rather than ambushing from a rooftop, both factions seem to have the same skill sets. Everyone can do impossible parkour and krav maga maneuvers.

Yeah but that is what I'm saying, Everyone prior to Ezio (and some after) had to have their fingers taken out for the blade. I'd be kind of pissed if a single upgrade could have saved me a digit

Yep, that was a chuckle-worthy scene. I like how it ends without any dialog .. just a silent swim back to shore.

Nope. With other games coming out I don't think any DLC they release will be worth my time.
