There is a voting station right across the street from my condo, but it's not in my voting precinct. The line was wrapped around the block a few times.
My voting station was a couple of blocks away at an elementary school. The line was wrapped around the playground... after waiting in line in the 35-degree temperatures outside, we finally got inside, where the line meandered around the gym like a line at Disney World.
More than a two hour wait. This is a very heavy 'Democratic-leaning' area, and four years ago I only waited about 45 minutes. So I'm interested in what this turn out means. I guess we'll find out.

Was in line behind a guy this morning who said the same thing.
Ridiculous. I mean I know they have to draw lines somewhere, but really?

Early morning voting.... working people, not as many 47%ers gonna get up that early to stand in line.....

I think you were seeing my voting location. It wrapped around the entire basement and then outside into the parking lot! Most of which had their blue democratic sample ballots. And youre right, you can't be a 47%er here.

I got to my polling place at 6:30 this morning in Crystal City. 2 hour line, and I got there at a good time because by the time I left, the line length had doubled.
Unfortunately, many Dems in that line.

I would think that the area around Crystal City and Pentagon City would be more heavily Republican b/c of its proximity to the Pentagon... no? But I guess unless you're military in that area, you vote Dem just like the rest of Arlington.

My fiance voted in Prince William County this morning, got there before 7am and waited an hour and a half to vote.
One of my girl friends in Arlington (Ballston) voted at W&L HS, got there at 6am when it opened and waited an hour 15 min to vote.
I early voted about 10 days ago, waited 10 minutes

I don't think so this year. His cavalier attitude toward defense cuts and his inability to lead the way for sequestration has caused a big stir, and there are going to be a lot of irritated Virginians.
