Alabama is on the verge of three national championships in four years. Apparently, they aren't content with "fine."
not sure what the average fan's contentment level has to do with it, but tearing down the program because you're envious of your neighbor seldom works. In addition, although LSU didn't close the deal last year, Bama was extremely lucky to get another shot. In most years they wouldn't have, and really didn't deserve it as it was.

Yes? Miles is good for the program, just needs help. It could be worse, it could be better.

You have zero historical perspective. I have been going to games since the 1960's. The program has never been in better shape. And who do you think would actually be a better coach that would come to LSU? Saban and Meyer ain't coming here. Petrino? Right--he can't recruit and we would be holding our breath every time he drives off in a motorcycle. There is no realistic potential coaching candidate out there that would do a better job at LSU than Les. Be grateful for what we have done, what we have, and what we will have under Les-- a consistent winner.

I want a coach like that WV guy. Scores a lot of points. ... Oh wait they've lost again and again I know Auburn. That's good they won a title more recentl than us ... Oh wait. Arkansas ... They got a pro coach and are on the rise ... No not that rise ... USC. ... ESPN says they have the best talent .... How did they lose 3? I know .... Texas they always get all those kids ... Well maybe not Bama that's the one ... Wait they had a slump too while we were good. Florida. They are the best ... Well except for the last three years. I got it ... Oklahoma they win those big games .... Bob? Bob? Where have you gone .. K-state they seem good this year ... Oh he's 75 Okie lite .... They are headed by a MAN ... Great D too ... Well not so great. How about Notre Dame ... They are always the best. And then there's that Gruden dude ... We know he can coach and recruit ... Well coach ... Well he talks funny. I got it ... LSU. They have a guy who wins a lot, is a good man, graduates kids, recruits well, has proven his worth in the toughest conference has won a title, usually has his team play big in big games and Saban actually hates playing I'm .... That's the guy. Lets get him

Thank you for understanding where I am coming from. I am a true fan. My diploma has LSU on it and I wear my colors at road games after losses, just like after wins. I will love this school and this team no matter what. I am just not pleased with the mediocre coaching and our fan base's acceptance of the state of our program.

The sports world laughs at your lack of perspective. LSU = mediocre is absolutely laughable. Where do these clown LSU fans come from?

Historical perspective? I'm no youngster! I have seen plenty. Getting these kids to come to LSU with hopes of winning national titles and then completely undermining their dreams with endless coaching missteps and gaffes is awful. If we were outmanned and outclassed by superior opponents, I would understand. But inferior coaching, in key games, cannot be acceptable.

I said mediocre coaching. Nothing about our program is mediocre. McGee at tailback on third and goal from the four at Florida? The Tennessee 13-man debacle? Ware under center at QB on fourth and two last night? The fake field goal? That look in JJ's eyes all night on January 9th? Not one, but two, two minute offense touchdowns against our bend but not break defense? These are all directly attributable to our head coach. Embrace these gaffes and call me an idiot or lacking perspective, but those kids in the gold helmets deserve better.

The players have a great coaching staff. The success Miles' teams have experienced is greater than any prior coach in LSU history. All coaches make mistakes, and all wish they had benefit of hindsight. You don't experience the success this program has had unless you've got a superior coaching staff. LSU's success is the envy of most D1 college football programs. I am thankful for clown fans like you for the pure entertainment value. Carry on.

Miles has out coached and played some of the best coaches and teams n the nation over the last 6 years. He rolled the dice and went for the win and came up short. That was the best Lsu has played all year. I would say that's a testament to Miles.

Clown fans? Were you the drunk next to me, screaming at and cussing the Bama band, cheerleaders, fans, players and coaches the entire game? Now that guy was a clown. We will not win another national championship with this coach. Do we have the facilities, players and ability? Yes Do we have the coaching? No
