Madonna booed after touting Obama in La. Concert
NEW ORLEANS (AP) - Madonna drew boos and triggered a walkout by several concertgoers after she touted President Barack Obama on her "MDNA Tour" in New Orleans.
The Material Girl asked during Saturday night's performance: "Who's registered to vote?" She added: "I don't care who you vote for as long as you vote for Obama." Drawing boos in touting Obama over Republican Mitt Romney, Madonna followed: "Seriously, I don't care who you vote for ... Do not take this privilege for granted. Go vote."

frickin morons in NOLA booing and walking out on several fronts.
1. Why pay to see that horrible performer especially after several reviews has said she acts erratic on stage and is not performing well, politics aside.
2. Don't these idiots know she's an Obama supporter? If that bothers you that much why go? That's like going to a Bruce concert and planning to walk out if he collects money for the local food bank or sings a song about the Wall Street financiers who got off scott free.

I don't care who she is for, she can be for Marvin the frickin Martian for all I care. If I was there for whatever entertainment I went for and she started babbling politics I'm not going to like it. There is a time and place, and I go to entertainment venues to forget the world is fricked for a while, not be reminded of it while I'm there.
As to your first point, there really is no reasonable answer.

My sister paid $400 for a ticket and was pissed at the political speech. I told her Obama appreciated her campaign contribution.

My point also.
I don’t go to a show or concert to get your political opinion, I go to be entertained.
People go out to enjoy themselves and to get away from real life for a couple hours and when an entertainer uses this as a forum to push their own thoughts & agendas is wrong.
If you want to make a stand or statement, do it at a political rally, this was the wrong place for this.
It’s not fair or considerate to the fans who just want to relax and enjoy some music.
This goes for ANY singer or musician.
What if sports stars would do that?
Let’s try it....
Sitting at a NFL game and the QB suddenly stops, calls TO, grabs the mike from the ref and goes off on a political rant! The place would go nuts!!
Or a baseball game, the bottom of the 9th and the pitcher decides to stop the game to make his political point.
People DO NOT want to be reminded of real life when they go to out for an evening of entertainment.
It was NOT the place to do this.
