States consider moving beyond medical marijuana

Three states will vote Nov. 6 on whether to allow recreational use of marijuana. There's still a federal prohibition, and approval would surely bring court challenges.

decriminalization for possession of all drugs needs to happen, we waste way too much money on it.

trying to regulate the sale will be their downfall as it opens the door for the feds to step in via the commerce clause. If they just de-criminalized use under state law, it would effectively legalize it...unless you ran into a federal marshal while smoking.

my cousin owns a dispensary in CO and is raking it in right now. If this passes, I can only imagine how much better business is going to get

news to the current DOJ and it's crackdowns of legal (by state law, not federal law) dispensaries

My only question is how will it be regulated? I doubt they're going to want people smoking in public/driving after smoking. Do they have a valid test to determine if someone is under influence or is it going to be up to police discretion? Seems like this has to be hammered out before they would be cool with widespread legal usage. Just my 2 cents.

my cousin said that cali doesnt have its stuff together in regards to properly regulating and following the law and that's why they get busted

He said CO does a much better job and that's why they rarely if ever have busts

Don't know why that would be an issue considering you can deny taking a breathalyzer.
