I'm torn on this as well - I don't think the Bama game needs anymore hype. It's going to be huge no matter what. Our defense and secondary has played very well thus far, and really have stepped up - along with the oline for regard. I really do miss seeing TM out there, but if he does come back - I don't think he should start.

Red I asked my source who is a very very very close friend of Tyrann. For him to call me and discuss that and the SI situation during football season, i knew it had to be big.

If the honey badger comes back, the stadium is going to be so loud my eardrums are already bleeding. He IS the emotional leader of this team.

I do find it difficult to believe les and company would be willing to take on the negative publicity that would follow bringing back TM this season. That said - from a logic stand point, I can see them letting him come back with the understanding that he is entering the draft at the end of this season. And while we are all day dreaming and bull shitting, I can see the SI article getting started as a "feel good" piece by request from someone in the LSU program as a precursor to TM coming back. But once Thayer hit BR, he found some "oh shit!" material. Anyway, it's all just day dreams and fiction until team sweep takes care of business. And creates the truth for us, right?

So, the conventional wisdom is that SI somehow got ahold of the information that TM7 was going to return to the team in time for the Bama game and thus, they decided to put him on the cover of their magazine? Wow! I guess that is a brilliant marketing ploy. It would have been a real coup for them to get lots of inside dirt on TM7 to go along with the headlines...that was why they sent Thayer and Evens and Crew to come up with what they could at any cost and by any means. TM7's saga just keeps getting more and more interesting.
i think they were trying to do a story on him, his child hood and the behaviors that got him in deep....sort of a documentary type but he declined, which drove them to a smear piece butt thats just my opinion it looks to me like they had some of the story written with the stuff about his dad in jail and ran out of info so they bashed him

I have to admit that I haven't read SI in many years...but it used to be something really special to be put on the cover. TM7 was a big phenomena, but he isn't even playing right now and may not play again. I am surprised that he would still be considered to be that big of news and put on the cover when there are so many stories from active players...that is why I thought word had gotten out that he was coming back...so their cover issue would time up perfectly with his return.

That's a terrible and totally biased article. I'm done with SI.
