hey. for the people with the 5, is there any significant changes from the 4s to the 5? I'm thinking about getting the 4s b/c I don't want to pay 200 for the 5 and wait a couple weeks. haha. i'm poor. I'm thinking that if there is no significant change I will just get the 4s.

Nah. I have the 5 and the screen is a little larger, the phone is a little lighter but that's it as far as looks. As far as performance the 5 is a little faster and the 4g Internet is REALLY fast but overall it's not very different. I would be happy with either.

thanks! I'm thinking im going to get the refurbished 4s. its only 50 bucks. I'm not into too many apps. just use it for the internet, calling, and texting. is the 4s that significantly slower? I'm currently a android user and I saw the S3 at the store today. I'm not going to lie, it looks awesome but I don't feel like paying 200 and I also have never had a iphone.

For y'all looking for a 5 in stock, try Radio Shack. I called EVERYWHERE (AT&T, Apple Store, big box stores) and nada, nothing, zilch for weeks. Called Radio Shack they had 12 of different colors and GB sizes and walked in and bought mine and was out of there in 20 minutes. People forget Radio Shack even exists any longer.

Who in their right mind thought this maps application was anything but shitty?

in the area's where it's good, it's real sweet, but over all it's got a ways to go.

Does anyone know how to tell what individual parts of a 4s are water damaged?

No street view No walking or public transit directions Zooming in does not show all street names It reminds me of mapquest in 1999

It's really not that much slower. You don't even notice that the 4s is "slow" until you try the 5. Like with a 4s an app may take a half of a second to open and with the 5 it opens the instant you touch the button so yes the 5 is faster but does it even matter?

yeah, i hate having to click on the fork and spoon to get the restaurant name , and the zooming is off to see streets, BUT that 3d feature where you can circle around a house is crazy.

I've used it throughout St. Helena, Livingston, East Baton Rouge & Ascension Parish the past week and it works absolutely fine. I've also found the flyover Maps in 3D for New Orleans, Dallas & Atlanta are great. I will say this, though. The 4S & the iPad 2 that I own/owned prior to getting the 5 show you how much processor power is needed to render the mapping feature properly. The iPhone 5 handles it almost in real time with no drag whatsoever. The iPad 2 & 4S were slower & tiled a lot like Google Maps did on Hybrid views. What's been your issue with it?

When app developers start targeting the A6 as the go to processor, then you will start to see a huge difference in speeds.

I like cases that give the phone some protection but still keep the slim profile of the phone. Right now I'm using an Incipio Feather. I also have a Speck Candyshell which is a little thicker.

I'm with ya on this. I had an Incase snap case for my 4, but since they were out yet for the 5 when I got mine I got this one off of Amazon for $10 and love it. It fits perfectly and you barley notice it's there. But I'm also not clumsy with my phone. This is my 3rd iPhone and I've never cracked a screen :knockonwood:

********Question************ My fiance's 3gs is acting strange, while she is on WIFI her phone will switch to edge and run up her data minutes. She thinks that the latest update screwed something up and would like to know what to do, or if it is even fixable. TIA!

Does that case have a sharp edge on the bottom? I rest my phone on my pinky finger and my Incipio case annoys me because the bottom has a sharp edge.
