True story.....I was promised a George michael meet and greet.....so I followed my gay friends to a gay Gogol spot. I got to see. Little cute boys in g strings dancing......no George.......George's partner did show....big fricking woo......

He got his due in the 80s, and although he was in the middle of hair bands, he was as big of a pop star as any back then...

I saw a show on him in the studio years ago. The ear he has for sounds is amazing. He's as good of a producer as he is performer/writer.

Michael NEVER got the musical credit he deserved because he had such a carefully-crafted MTV pop-persona. But the guy had sick pipes, knew a melody and put together some of the most sophisticated pop stuff of that era. And sadly, a few real lame tunes that made me want to stick my head in an oven. I'm a fan, much more restrospectively, than at the time. Father Figure KILLS.

Great voice. Getting busted in in Beverly Hills didn't help his image but he don't give a frick.
Came home for lunch on day in the mid 80's and our housekeeper was watching MTV...."I Want Your Sex" was playing. She just looked at me and said "Damn, that's the best lookin white man I ever saw".

Girls in the 80's didn't even fathom the possibility of him being gay, which was weird, taking into account Wham's video content.

One of his "newer" tracks. Really like it, very catchy.
Actually sounds very similar to Soul Decision's - Ooh It's Kinda Crazy.
And the man was a master of pop songs.
