Not trying to make an argument, just speaking my truth. My grandparents were from south louisiana and taught us never to trust white folks ever. But of course that could have nothing to do with slavery or jim crow.

What about the ones that freed their grandparents? I guess they didn't have to trust those who were dying on the battlefield, and risking their lives, for people they didn't even know.
Let's face it, any black today that "hates" white people does so as a conscious choice based solely on their own prejudice and has absolutely nothing to do with white people's attitude towards blacks as a whole.
Everybody wants a boogie man to blame for their problems.

It can be difficult to overcome prejudices that are passed down over many generations. This is true for blacks and whites.

The problem is that a lot of young black people are more racist than their parents. It's a problem that's getting worse, not better. They blame their lot in life on white people holding them down, not that they work, finished school or went to college, they just blame white people because it's an easy to point at the "rich" guy and say "he's keeping all the money for himself".
Unless they change their attitude they and their kids will live in poverty forever, blaming white people for all their problems. That's a lose-lose situation for everyone.

Not racist just realist. I would imagine that race doesn't mean a lot to whites because it never affects them on the same level. I've seen white people change directions to avoid me on the sidewalk, follow me around in a store, etc. It stings (but I've been prepared) to see that another person is suspicious of me just because my skin is brown.

why not just graduate from high school, take out a loan for college, graduate and get a job to fit your degree like others do?
