For the Love of the Game captures the essence of the game like no other baseball movie. Players aging on the decline, free agency, relationships between players, management, relationships with women while plating at that level. Fans and their reactions. There is so much to this movie, I love it.

I love it, but it's a chick flick disguised as a baseball movie

I have never thought of it like that but your completely right. Major League, ROTY, and Little Big League are my personal favorite baseball movies. Mainly bc of how much I enjoyed them as a kid.

One of my favorite scenes is when he realizes that he is throwing a perfect game and doesn't think he can finish. The catcher " we're the best team in baseball right now..." gets me every time.

Sandlot is the best. Angels in the Outfield the worst. That much I know.
