Sorry, Martizzle, but this is the kind of place Baton Rouge needs more of.
I went with my wife, mom, and sister (three seperate people; no pics) to celebrate my sis getting a new job.
All the cocktails and dishes were a hit.
I had the smashing pumpkin to drink, and though I don't remember what was in it (pumpkin obviously) it was interesting and very good.
Appetizers had were foie gras, sweetbreads, shrimp over grits cake, and mussels. All excellent.
Salads had were the beet salad and fried oyster salad. Again, nice portions and delicious.
Entrees had were the rabbit with spatzzle (winner of the night), seared scallops, and pork cheeks/belly.
Food was excellent. Service was okay, but it was really busy. They paced the meal well and in the end we were too full for dessert.
