There is a very real definition of racism and it doe exists. Fortunately nowhere near the depths you hard core "textbook" lefties make it out to be.

No worries. Again, I totally agree with you; just wanted to point that out to make sure you didn't lose validity in your argument.

You are very welcome. It is my honor and pleasure to serve. What I wanted to do since I was a little boy growing up in the backwoods town of Loranger, LA.

Obviously I'll want substantive proof that a significant percentage of voters are voting against Obama because he's black, and not the hundreds of other reasons for voting against him. That doesn't mean I'll refuse to acknowledge it. It may be difficult to prove, but if someone wants to make a sweeping claim like that they better be able to back it up with figures.

On the other hand, you're willing to believe that black people vote for President Obama "because he's black" without any evidence? Personal anecdote incoming.

Aside from racial pride, I don't know what other reason they have. It's not like he's done much for them.

Have you found a link to the percentages of people voting against Barack because he's black yet?

quote:

The actor Samuel L. Jackson said much the same thing: ‘‘I voted for Barack because he was black,’’ he told Ebony magazine. ‘‘Cuz that’s why other folks vote for other people — because they look like them.’’

quote:

Luckett said one reason he voted for Obama in the 2008 primary against Hillary Clinton was because Obama is black: ‘‘Yes, I will admit that.’’ Is that racism? Not in Luckett’s mind. ‘‘It’s voting for someone who would understand your side of the coin a lot better.’’

LINK

A lot of people admit to supporting the president because he is somewhat black.

They are just as stupid as the ones who vote against him because he is half black.

Why can't people vote for someone based on policy and not because of their skin color.

You do realize that 85% of whites in Louisiana, Mississippi and Alabama vote Republican. That is pretty close to the 90% of blacks that vote Democratic.

Do you think 85% of La, Mississippi and Alabama whites can tell you three of Mitt Romney's policies?

They also refuse to accept that an estimated 90% of Black voters also vote for Gore & Kerry. Because Kerry & Gore are Black?

You don't get much more far removed from Blacks than Gore &
Kerry.

Berore 1964(Civil Rights Act) & 1965(Civil Rights act the Southern White vote usually polled in the esact opposite direction in favor of Dems.

Anyone voting on the basis of race is a fool.

Turnout:
2000 (Gore) - 55% of voting aged AAs
2008 (Obama) - 65% of voting aged AAs

Let me tell you something port city girl,I just drove 500 miles to Shreveport and back today to see a women, white woman,a beautiful smart loved 32 yr old mother of two sons of 5 and 11 and who was married to her babies daddy ,get bury because a fricking black man who she had to fire Wensday for not doin his job, came back to her office and pumped her chest with four shots, all the while calling her a fricking whiite honky ,and I want go any further about what he called her,but the press wont report that! so you vote for fricking Obama,,(which I laugh when you say your people, was you raised by your white family?) And I'll end this with this, that girls brother and sister stood before hundreds if not a thousand who showed up and ask all of us to try and fine forgiveness for this man, these were country white folk from north Louisiana ,who ask for us to already start forgiven this man, so if you need someone to feel proud of,you surround yourself with these kinda people.

I understand your point, but that has nothing to do with my support for Pres. Obama. I don't condone violence against anyone regardless of race. Any incident such as this only serves as a reminder that we as a society are not as post racial as we would like to believe.

Yes your right we aren't, and I can even understand black people voting for Obama 4 yrs ago,but after 4 yrs and bringing blacks ,espcially young black men no hope in finding jobs, port unemployment for black males is at a modern day history high! Blacks owe this man nothing! It's you who is gonna suffer most,he takes y'all for granted. I'm sure you know about a year ago when black leaders came to him about the struggling black communities and he told to stop whining and crying and put on your marching boots. Come on young lady you seem like a smart girl.im telling you that it's black leaders like him and rich white liberal democrat(where 7 out of the top 10 richest in conress are Dems) that are destroying your families and communtines. Not Consevatives we want everyone to succeed and would never let people starve as some try to tell you. Just please have and open mind and educate yourself.i myself can't wait for that 1st black consevaticve candidate so a lot of blacks will give us a try.And it's not far off.

But that isn't what's being said by conservatives for the most part. I've tried to give the Fox news crowd a chance, but they all come off as smug and condescending. Letting people like Sean Hannity, Ann Coulter, and others be a voice for them.
The precious few "liberals" they have on the shows barely get a chance to speak. I've been a Democrat since I was eligible to vote--Not because someone told me to or because of Obama, but because I agree with most of the Democratic platform.

I wonder what % of blacks who are victims of inner city public education even know the sketchy history of the democratic party.

re: African-Americans and Obama

I can't stand hannity or rush either. Let me ask you port,I know many blacks are Christians, are you? And if so explain to me how a person can be a true and I said true believer and support any party or person who ,in the name of a persons individual right, support the killing of innocent unborn babies,or homosexuality, where the bible it self talks about marriage. See their destroying God in this country, and well if your a believer,a true believer ,god either is or he isn't ,he is either everything or nothing, and I guess that's what each true believer has to decide on their own. But if their is a god,I don't want to stand before him knowing I voted for anyone or party that has down more to destroy his son's name than the Democratic Party. So whether your a Christian or not ,may god bless you and yours and I pray that we as a race, the human race can all come together and that we find ourselves as a country back on the right path. And I'm not certain Romney can help us get there, but I know the Admin in there isn't going to do that.

re: African-Americans and Obama

Therefore according to your stupid math:

55% Black turnout = 90% Black vote for very White Al Gore

55% Black turnout =90% Black vote for very White John Kerry

65% Black turnout= 90% Black vote for Obama

Now because of extra 10% Black voter turnout =most Blacks vote for Obama because he is Black. Your logic is stupid. And this whole discussion is as well.

Blacks weren't the only demographic to turn out in record numbers in 2008.
