there is no way the replay is "inconclusive"...it was clear he either a) scored or b) fumbled and OL recovered for TD
refs took the easy way out, but it doesn't make sense
they should have just said they ruled forward momentum had been stopped (which it was, really) and i would be ok with the call

I am a A&M fan and don't give two shits about Stanford but they just got fricked over by that call.

It was a TD.
And what's with the ref saying there's no excessive celebration because the teams "thought the game was over"? Utah thought the game was over twice against BYU and still got penalized for storming the field.

As a general rule, refs shouldn't blow the whistle for forward progress on a 4th down or 2 pt conversion. Forward progress is for the benefit of the offense but they don't want it when they have a line to gain.

Apparently he thought they were only reviewing the whistle..."because his forward progress had definitely been stopped."
