 THose things give me the heeby jeebies. I killed a cottonmouth today, saw 2 blue runners, ran over a garter snake, and killed a 4' rat snake in the camp. All in 1 day. Too much snake action for me.
Good luck finding the deer.

Dog trailed deer for several hundred yards through some thick stuff finding a drop here and a drop there. Never did find the deer.
Tough lesson for an 8 year old.

ETA: didn't read far enough. That sucks but it happens to all of us. Watch for the buzzards and the stench and maybe he'll turn up.
