Have a ball hoss. I think you're shaking up the wrong area.

I think the team doctor who can't get our players back from injury quicker needs to GTFO.

Last week we were 50/50 run pass.

It isn simply calling a pass play that makes one effective on offense

Especially when you drop said passes.

LSU has run the ball 226 times when you take out Mettenberger's 15 sacks.

55 of those attempts occurred in the 4th quarter when LSU was leading and trying to run out the clock. So that's 171 rushing attempts (a handful of those would be scrambles for positive or no gain by the quarterback) in real game situations.

171 rushing attempts to 159 attempted pass plays. That's not exactly 50-50, but it's closer than most people on here want to portray.

We had 25 pass plays and 25 run plays last week. Hard to get more balanced than that. We have actually passed the ball quite a bit this year, but your Miles hatred is distorting your perception of reality. Our offense suck, but it's not due to a lack of passing. I challenge you to provide some stats to back up your assertion that he forsakes the forward pass.

I like Les Miles and I don't want him to leave, but it's WHEN the plays are ran, not how many. For example, when they load the box, I sure as hell don't want to see a run.

Regardless,

to a reasonable degree this game, one that shows he truly, to use his own words, "has a want" for success, I just might boo and boo loudly.

You could make a pretty good argument that in this game more than any other, should be played in a grind it out fashion.

Is it your opinion that our OL is capable of providing protection for ZM against SC?

You sound like you would be a good head coach. Man if you were calling the plays we would be undefeated.

re: If Miles doesn't allow the pass...

quote:

Pretty sure we're all frustrated with our offensive problems. We don't look like the team we thought we'd see. Miles "stubborn": well, Mett has shown the tendency to throw picks in the redzone, trying to force things. Mett has shown a lack of awareness re the blitz, and has fumbled a few times because he isn't securing the ball while scrambling. He's got a decent completion percentage, but still has missed badly on some wide-open guys. Our receivers have not been able to get open a bunch. When they do and the ball is on target, they've dropped quite a few. Beckham, our best receiver, has also fumbled a couple times in trying to make the big play. Our offensive line is injury-depleted, and not very impressive currently, at all. Miles knows this as well as we do. He also knows he has a defense that is stout. He knows he has plenty of talented running backs. He knows if we can limit the mistakes, and not fall way behind, we might be able to wear the other team down late and win. And yet, you want him to unleash that passing attack, or you'll boo? Run-heavy game plan and we're in a low scoring game most likely. Lots of passing, based on what we've seen, and somebody might have 30 points at the half. And it probably won't be us.
