QUESTION: As a follow-up to the hearing yesterday, how was -- MS. NULAND: Can you tell me who you are? QUESTION: Mike Levine with Fox. MS. NULAND: Every time I turn around, I’ve got a new Foxie in the pool here. Going to have to talk to them about that. No wonder Barack Obama fared so poorly in his debate with Mitt Romney. It seems that everyone in the Obama administration is deeply disturbed by the notion of any reporter willing to ask adverse questions.

It's sad, he definitely needs the practice.

I hope after Romney wins he bans MSNBC from all press conferences and "accidentally" leaves them out of conference calls

Since neither I nor you know the rules for that particular press pool, I think your characterization is stupid. SHe didn't object to the presence of a Fox reporter, she seemed to be bothered by them rotating their pool member regularly.

Just copied the name of the article. Shouldn't their be a lot of news reporters there though. I mean this Libya thing is kind of a big deal.

Is that so they don't routinely skip them? Don't know, but that seems like a strategy.. Assume that Fox must be giving them tough questions.

That may be, but she was definitely out of line calling a White House reporter a "Foxie." It's a grammatical diminuative and the intent is to diminish the reporter. I can't imagine her using similar language for a reporter from an network that is friendly to the president. Can you?

No, it has just been politicized by the Romney campaign.

I don't have a problem with her objection. Unless a reporter is called on by name, he should identify himself and which news organization he represents. Nothing to see here. That said, "accidentally" leaving Fox News out of the conference call is not acceptable.

As I said when it happened...leaving Fox out of that conference call was quite possibly the most transparent thing this administration has ever done.
