Chicago Al's on ONeal

still the best hot dogs in town. And the only place in town you can get an Italian Beef sandwich, which is damn good stuff.

really different.

Chicago Al's serves an authentic Chicago Dog and Polish, along with the Chicago-style Italian Beef.

Frankies has a variety, some hits, some misses.

To tell the truth, have only been there once since the new ownership, my misses were before that. Guess I should go try out the menu. Got the bacon wrapped dog with chili and cheese, good but that heartburn was bad after, ha

Does Al's still have that fluorescent green, glow-in-the-dark pickle relish? I've never seen food that color, except maybe a spearmint snowball.

I haven't had that in a long time. That one looks badass.

Leidenheimer started making bread in 1896. So as far as I'm concerned, the poboy is older.
