critic have raved, but it's only for the true fans of Rowlands voice that can survive his style of singing,

i admit that was catchier than i was expecting it to be, heh....
but...i remember rowlands once wrote an open letter to music fans, apologizing for dexy's being such a fraud (his words, not mine). after i read that, i figured i'd never hear from them again!

He's always been a bit self deprecating and a polarizing figure to boot.
