Lots of different things going on. There were threats growing, requests sent for increase security, Denial of the increase of security(who made that decision and why?). Then, reports that they knew what happened and who was to blame within 24 hours...Then Cutter and Clinton are going out saying its all about a movie a week later, and Obama is saying the same thing to the UN....they carried it out with their surrogates for 14 days...Who came up with the "LIE" strategy??????????

Anyone hear that the White House watched the attack...real time, as it was going down..just like the Bin Laden mission??? Just heard it on TV..Hadn't heard that before. Hard to believe thats true, damning if even close.

Does anyone think the Secretary of State goes to the President to get permission to increase security at an Embassy/Consulate CIA station or whatever it was we were operating in Bengazi?
The security responsibility may have more centrally been with the Director CIA or DNI, idoubt the Ambassador was in Bengazi issuing visas. I doubt we are going to find out before November.

I heard that there was a live feed, but I don't know if it was patched through to the White House...

True, I think that part is on the state dept, unless it was from the top to just put up a non-threatening front. Ie., I think they could'nt have bullets in Beruit(I think its why they could'nt stop the attack).
The cover-up, though, sounds like it came from higher...we'll see.

If I were the President or Sec of State and heard an embassy was under attack; I think I'd gather my brain trust and see what is happening. If there was video, I might want to have a peek at it. Get an idea right away what was happening... I don't think I would ask the intel folks to shoot me an email with some bullet points when they have a chance.
But I'm just silly old LT.
Oh and Camden, I just jumped in... The quote may not be germane to what I wrote but... You know.

Hillary is probably at fault but that doesn't mean she'll take the blame without a fight. I'm taking Hillary in this one. Barry is a pissy in a straight-up fight and Bill and Hillary are also pair of goddamn honeybadger.

I agree with only a very very small portion of the Clinton's political views at best...but they're both incredibly interesting people to me. Would not want to cross either of them.

She could have approved the request, but got shot down by someone in the White House. In any event, Obama has some serious explaining to do. During his Presidency a rogue operation was conducted within his Department of Justice that resulted in the deaths of many people from illegal weapons sales a government agency sponsored. The upper echelons of the DOJ and the White House claim zero knowledge of the operation until after it became a fiasco. Now his State Department screws the pooch and there is a break down in the intelligence the White House is claiming it received regarding likely activities around September 11th. Who is minding the store?
The fact that there has been no one held accountable for any of the obvious mismanagement of the government is more than enough evidence that Obama does not take these matters seriously. It is too late for him to try now without it being an obvious self-serving gesture rather than a principled decision.
