Where did the (in midfield) part come from? I would assume it's just a 4-4-2 with Zusi on the right and Dempsey on the left (theoretically).
With what's available I don't think that would be that bad. Good to see Williams get the start over Jones/Beckerman.

Twitter is reporting that GAM is the right midfielder. I don't really believe that he's going to wind up playing that role.
If this is truly the case, Klinsmann has officially lost it.
Eddie Johnson is a striker. He finishes in front of goal (sometimes). He doesn't pass exceptionally well, and he's not very good taking on opponents one-on-one.
That being said; good lineup, given the injury situation.

Twitter says Williams will play deep sitting and General Bradley will be playing forward mid, that's great news. Let Michael dominate the midfield and orchestrate our attacks all night, good to see Klinsy isn't wasting him by keeping him as a deep sitting mid

Fabian Johnson is sitting out this game with the flu. He's in KC now trying to recover in time for the Guatemala game.
ETA: Timmy Chandler may never play for the USMNT again.
