| Well Romney take Obama to the woodshed...AGAIN? (Posted on 10/12/12 at 8:28 am)
Given the Foreign Policy debates upcoming, and with the President having to defend outright lies regarding their denial of security requests and the torture and death of our Ambassador...will Romney pounce for the kill? And even if Obama goes in attack mode...will it backfire and make things worse for him? I'm thinking, here comes another Romney home run.

You've been a member here since 2007 and haven't figured out how to edit a post? And then you start the same thread and don't fix your error in the title?

meh. Townhall doesn't play as well for Romney. But if he does nail one more debate, this thing may be done.

No. Th town hall forum is not conducive to a back and forth. It'll be a lame, prescreened set of questions and responses will be directed to the "undecided" voter who asked the question. Everybody will just repeat their tv ads.

Sorry T...I fire this stuff off the top of my head, concentrating on a point. Not much of a scholar for sure. I really don't see how Obama can go on the offensive; I've always said that I'd hate to be between Romney and his goal. I look for him to be the aggressor, and overpower Obama. Obama does not look well when he attacks (angry black man); that's not his strong suit. Romney - on the other hand - talks fast, is loaded with info (almost like Jindal), and all the while with that wide-eyed innocent look on his face. He's a hit man really. I don't think Obama has a prayer in the next debate (Foreign Policy), given the developing Benghazi, Syria and ME dynamic. He's a hangin curve. Thanks O; you're a class guy. Mostly!

as to the topic of the thread Romney will be at his worst. He is not able to deal with real people's real questions. Of course, its likely/possible, that both candidates already know the questions, so the fluff-up factor is going to be eliminated if that's true. Romney is at his worst when he has to access his genuine feelings in face to face situations. he has that problem because he has to censor what he says, eliminating his truth, his actual moderate stance on life, and instead try to superimpose some b.s. his handlers and the reactionary wing of his party insist is the 'right' answer in debate preparations.

If Obama tries that insane-looking, Jack Nicholson type Joker laugh with Romney.. It's over for him. Completely over. He had better finally bring some truth and apologies about our dead ambassador to the table. And put forth the efforts that he has initiated to ensure that American soil is sacrosanct. Attacking our soil is an act of war. Those people died defending their country with pitiful resources. I want our President to lay out a plan for the punishment of everyone of those pricks and to be assured that assets will be in place to stop this kind of bull shite in the future. If the current administration doesn't have the balls to protect our people, then close the embassies and bring them home. I notice that they had enough ducking money to supply some of the other embassies with fricking Chevy volts...how much did those cost? This would be a comedy if it wasn't so tragic.

What is curious re Romney and the plain folk, O...is that Romney has a lifetime of DOCUMENTED EXPERIENCES with REAL INDIVIDUALS who are indeed plain folk, and who Romney took his personal time and money to help. Now this was not when he was running for high office, and more indicative of the man's true character and principle. I know that the Left keeps trying to paint him as aloof and out of touch with the plain folk...but the EVIDENCE seems to be the opposite. And I do agree that he seems unable to express his feeling, or either inclined not to do so because he finds a public show...just that...a show. Which would be crude and a no no for any person of honor. Your critique is well-reasoned...buy I'm not so sure that it will apply in the flesh. This debate will be every bit as intersting as the last. Even more so, probably. Fascinating human drama!

I see you're able to parrot the baseless meme about Romney not being able to relate to the commoner. Way to put that 188 iq through it's paces.

Depends.. If a question about Libya is proposed and they are given ample time to discuss then Obama is in big BIG trouble. Otherwise I think its clear that Obama will come out just attacking anything and everything no matter if it makes sense or not. Thats what his base wants to see. How Romney acts in return will matter. This debate Romney just needs to keep his cool and let Obama do his best Biden imitation.

Barack & Co. are the BEST political machine I've witnessed in my life time...anyone who THINKS they are going to not, at a minimum break, even in all of the next debates is confusing what they want with reality. They're good. From a political standpoint I wish they were on my team.

Debate 2 will not be like debate 1. First, it's a stupid 'town hall' format where Politico gets to pick the questions (gmafb) Second, crowley is an Obama donor to the tune of thousands in 2008, and slightly less this time around under a pseudonym name online, that is obvious to most people. She will be very much like that twat gas from ABC last night.

Compared to Bill Clinton in the, or even Lee Atwater's operation in the 80s they are amateurs.

I thought biden did a decent job defending it last night. But I expect romney to go in for the kill. If he can repeat last week, he will rip off obama's head and yell FATALITY. If obama ups his game, there might be some ninja moves with romney laying on the floor crying about his back.
