Tell me what provisions of Obama's tax plan will affect you and the percentages (meaning his plan to raise "X" by "3%")
You REALLY should know that off the top of your head as it should be fundamental in you even forming an opinion of his plan in the first place.

And raises taxes in a fragile economy is in itself not a good idea. That is not the whole story. You really do seem to have a narrow focus and lack the ability to see nuance in this area.
Oh, and I took econ courses as well, big deal.

we will never get the chance to do either if we derail this recovery

We may not be as far apart on the issues as it appears. I alluded to this in a clarification post in my very long post that took up an entire page and no one ever responded to. In fact, I specifically said very modest tax increases now and only partial expiration of the Bush tax cuts until the economy is stronger and unemployment under 6%.
Anyway, time to get some sleep...
