Woke up this morning with a swollen eyelid with that annoying paper cut type of pain. More aggravating than anything.
I don't remember hitting my eye on anything nor do I have any allergies nor have I been scratching my eye.
WTF is this?

A stye is caused by bacteria from the skin that get into the oil glands in the eyelids that provide lubrication to the tear film. Styes are similar to common acne pimples that occur elsewhere on the skin. You may have more than one stye at the same time.
Styes usually develop over a few days and may drain and heal on their own. A stye can become a chalazion -- this is when an inflamed oil gland becomes fully blocked. If a chalazion gets large enough, it can cause trouble with your vision.

I've had swollen eyelid when.my allergies were really bad. Goes away in a couple days but you really look effed up til then.

Change your pillow case, hot compress and some anti bacterial cream. It should go down in a day or two, if not go to a doctor

There's really no need to freak out, trust me. I see this stuff everyday. Go with the warm compresses and lid scrubs first. If it gets worse or doesn't resolve after a few days, then go to the ophthalmologist.
